Why Soy-based Diffusers?

What is the difference between the different diffusers?  Which is the best for my home & family?

Create a warm and inviting atmosphere in your home through fragrance while also being environmentally conscious and considerate of your guests.

Diffuser bases can be made from various different materials, each with it’s own unique properties and benefits which will impact your home and the people in it, as well as the environment.

Alcohol-based: Alcohol is a popular choice for diffuser bases as it helps to disperse the fragrance oils effectively and provides a strong scent throw. Alcohol-based diffuser bases are known for their quick evaporation rate, making them ideal for creating a powerful and immediate fragrance impact.

Oil-based: Oil-based diffuser bases, such as mineral oil or vegetable oil, are often used for their ability to slowly release fragrance over an extended period. These bases provide a more subtle and long-lasting scent diffusion, making them suitable for creating a continuous and gentle aroma in a space.

Water-based: Water-based diffuser bases are typically used in ultrasonic diffusers or reed diffusers. These bases require the addition of essential oils or fragrance oils to create a scented mist or to be absorbed by reeds for gradual diffusion. Water-based diffuser bases are versatile and can be customised with different scents to suit individual preferences.

Soy-based: These are derived from soy wax and are known for their eco-friendly and sustainable properties.  Soy wax, derived from soybean oil, is a renewable resource that is biodegradable and non-toxic, making soy-based diffuser bases a popular choice for those seeking environmentally friendly alternatives.

In addition to being eco-friendly, soy-based diffuser bases are known for their clean and long-lasting scent throw. With a lower melting point than paraffin wax, soy wax allows for a slower and more even release of fragrance oils, resulting in a consistent and subtle scent diffusion that creates a pleasant and inviting atmosphere in any space.

Moreover, soy-based diffuser bases are often preferred by individuals with sensitivities to synthetic fragrances or chemicals. Soy wax is free from harmful toxins and pollutants commonly found in petroleum-based products, making it a safer and healthier option for those with allergies or respiratory issues.

While each diffuser base has its unique characteristics, soy-based options offer the best balance of scent longevity, environmental impact and personal sensitivities that cater to our needs.

Overall, the benefits of soy-based diffuser bases include their eco-friendly nature, long-lasting scent throw and hypoallergenic properties, making them our preferred choice for a natural and sustainable home fragrance solution.
