Finding the right scent for you or even for specific rooms in your home is a very personal choice.  As is whether you prefer to use a candle or a diffuser depending on the fragrance need (long or short term) as well as your style of decor or if you have fire or pet concerns.  

For instance, you may want a scent to constantly disperse to help with the doggie smells in a particular room in your home and so probably would do best with a diffuser there. 

Alternatively, you may want a scent to envelope your guests when they visit or to soothe you when you have a bath, so a candle could be a better option in these situations.
